This is not ready for stable yet, It does not make use of proper libxul when building nsplugin. This results in revdep-rebuild rebuilding vlc each and every time.

What about libxcb >= 1.4 and schroedinger?

I take it you'd like to know when libxcb has a chance of going stable? :) Soon, like along with xorg-server 1.6. So now that the livedvd is around, I'll try to take care of that after the dvd is released. So you might be interested in bug #282290 to see where we're at. In short, we're nearly ready. We just need to fix 2 or 3 eselect-opengl bugs and start asking for testers through planet.g.o. Hope that sheds some light on where we're at :) Cheers
Why does it need libxcb-1.1.90.1 ? And can libxcb-1.1.90.1 go stable without the rest of X?
(In reply to comment #7) > Why does it need libxcb-1.1.90.1 ? And can libxcb-1.1.90.1 go stable without > the rest of X? NAK, it's either the current stable or 1.4. Versions in between cause locking bugs with Xlib.
after all it was simpler than that... there was a patch in master to support older xcb-xv versions, so now we dont need newer xcb than what stable has.
Ok, schroedinger wants Gstreamer 1.0.24 (which is not stable).... Is that ok?
(In reply to comment #10) > Ok, schroedinger wants Gstreamer 1.0.24 (which is not stable).... > > Is that ok? > Might be, but let me emphatize that it isn't required. You can go with 1.0.7 instead of 1.0.7 -r1 or -r2. The only difference is GStreamer compability patches.

Ok, I misread the DEPEND line, but nonetheless, it would be better to do both together to not have problems when Gstreaner 1.0.24 goes stable and nobody thinks of schroedinger.
we'll handle stabilization of 1.0.2 in bug #285370 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 285370 ***
