x11-libs/libva-intel-media-driver is the only way to use VA on the Comet Lake (CML) at the moment.

x11-libs/libva-intel-driver-{2.3.0,2.4.1} failed to load on CML.

x11-libs/libva-intel-media-driver-20.1.1 and dependencies were tested on my two HTPCs with Comet Lake and Kaby Lake R with Kodi and various video files.

Initially I followed "report guide": "a fully qualified package per line, optionally followed by a space-delimited list of architectures to target. If no architecture list is provided, all architectures in CC are assumed."

media-libs/gmmlib-20.2.2 is stable now, works fine with x11-libs/libva-intel-media-driver-20.1.1
