If samba is built with -O2, my PPC machine can't auth (NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE) against any X86 machine and X86 machines can't auth against the PPC, but PPC *can* auth agains himself. Rebuilding with -O1 solved the problem for me.

This ebuild fixes this bug and #44743 . Works fine on my iBook G4.

can you try the ebuild proposed in bug #58090. Beside other improvements, i make full use of these suggestions

lowered compiler flags from samba-3.0.5-r1
