Excuse me for reporting this issue again (I've seen rather lot of attemps). But I think it will be better, than tryes to reopen one of previously reported bugs. I'm using XFce 4.8 on x86 arch. The issue is in that (as later explored) after upgrading x11-libs/vte to last stable version (0.28.1-r200): Running some (continuous executed) tasks in x11-terms/terminal (also last x86 stable version 0.4.6) makes xorg-server (process 'X') use about 86-90% of CPU (one thread in one core). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set up current stable x86 system (with x11-terms/terminal); 2. Start X-server; 3. Start terminal; 4. Start some continuous process in terminal (for example top and/or ssh session to remote host or perhaps another user session (su)); Actual Results: See (in xfce-extra/xfce4-cpugraph-plugin widget and/or in terminal itself (top utlity)) encreasing of cpu usage on actually not loaded (doing nothing) system. Expected Results: Normal operation (X process uses 1-3% of CPU, rarely up to 10-15%).
