Created attachment 199771 [details] skype4pidgin-20090731.ebuild An svn ebuild is never going to get into Portage, I'm afraid. I've taken a snapshot and uploaded it to my space on gentooexperimental.org. I did speak to the author about this but despite being a friendly Gentoo user, he didn't seem interested in providing source tarballs. The makefile is unfortunately quite nasty (by the author's own admission) and patching it up would actually take longer than compiling the files by hand so I've done the latter. It uses pkg-config to get the right CFLAGS, something that the makefile doesn't do. autotools would be nice but I got the impression the author wouldn't be interested. I haven't used the plugin much yet but it's working very well so far. I see no reason why it shouldn't go into the tree.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. There are two possibilities for this package: 1. Push it into Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) [1] http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/sunrise/ [2] http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/wiki/SunriseFaq 2. I can proxy commits for you so you could maintain this package in the tree. (For this contact me by mail). With best regards, -- Peter.
Created attachment 328644 [details] skype4pidgin-9999.ebuild This is the live ebuild from Zugaina. It's uses the offical code, not a custom bundle from from private homepage like the one in this bug report.
The other bug has the new homepage etc. Resolving this one as duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 573632 ***
