This is a tracker bug *ONLY* for broken/missing features that already have been available in 2.18 P.S. 2.20 version missing in Bugzilla component versions... :)
Bugs aliasing to provide easy-to-remember names is missing.
- Bug wranglers predefined search missing - "Reassign bug to default assignee of selected component" requires a comment - RESOLVED NEEDINFO and UPSTREAM missing
ppc-macos missing from 'Add Archs' CC list
- expert/guided bug links on frontpage/footer do not exist - in search page, not all status fields are selected by default - the "Add arches" addon (1) doesnt work in lynx (2) wastes a ton of space in text mode browsers - Hardware field should drop "PC" and add "m68k" and add "SuperH" and it should prob be sorted alphabetically - bugzilla product needs 2.20 added to the version field
- text wrapping from text mode browsers is broken; my previous comment had no wrapped lines, one comment per line
- trying to change component (no reassign of e-mail) requires comment now
Also CANTFIX resolution seems to be MIA...
https://bugs.gentoo.org/duplicates.cgi does not work - "There are no duplicate statistics for today (2005-12-16) or yesterday."
just browsed bugzilla with a graphical browser ... the new arch list screws up spacing with the rest of the top of the page ... and wrapping is broken from gui browsers too
the main logo at the top of every bugzilla page is no longer a link to http://bugs.gentoo.org/ ... i use often :)
Search is broken... :-((( 1/ Go to http://bugs.gentoo.org/query.cgi 2/ Put "`I2C_ALGO_BIT' undeclared" to 'A Comment' box (without the quotation marks), leave everything else as is, click search 3/ Nothing found 4/ Go back, select all resolutions in 'Status' now and click search 5/ Only RESOLVED bugs found 6/ Now have a look at Bug 111820 - why does not search find it at all?
- threading for new bugmail with old bugmail is broken, In-Reply-To header now uses format <bug-115436-23952@http.bugs.gentoo.org/> instead of <bug-115436@bugs.gentoo.org> used by old bugzilla.
(In reply to comment #1) > Bugs aliasing to provide easy-to-remember names is missing. > Turned on.
(In reply to comment #2) > - Bug wranglers predefined search missing Shite. I need to go back into the backups and find that query. Do you have it hanging around? > - "Reassign bug to default assignee of selected component" requires a comment Fixed > - RESOLVED NEEDINFO and UPSTREAM missing Part of the resolutions I need to fix. >
(In reply to comment #3) > ppc-macos missing from 'Add Archs' CC list Added back in. >
(In reply to comment #12) > - threading for new bugmail with old bugmail is broken, In-Reply-To header now > uses format <bug-115436-23952@http.bugs.gentoo.org/> instead of > <bug-115436@bugs.gentoo.org> used by old bugzilla. > Can you email me off-bug the headers of that email? I can take a look
The TEST resolution is also missing.
Under "additional comments" it does not tell anymore to post the output of emerge info.
(In reply to comment #18) > Under "additional comments" it does not tell anymore to post the output of > emerge info. > Done
Quick change of platform in bugzilla. Sorry about the email.
Eek! Tried to reassign and comment on bug 115844... Internal Error Bugzilla has suffered an internal error. Please save this page and send it to bugzilla@gentoo.org with details of what you were doing at the time this message appeared. URL: http://bugs.gentoo.org/process_bug.cgi A legal Platform was not set.
Forget it, works again. :)
Bug #54384 is back :)
(In reply to comment #11) > Search is broken... :-((( Humpf.... this is weird, it finds this bug now; don't we need a reindex?
*** Bug 116005 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Users cannot assign their own bugs (Bug 116005).
The bug report form no longer instructs the reporter to include `emerge --info` output - although the bug report comment field does.
Please, re-add UNCONFIRMED to predefined Bug wranglers search...
I'm not entirely positive about this, but a couple of people confirmed that they've been able to change their email address in Preferences before upgrade. Not possible now.
Some resolution descriptions are missing, but I'm not quite sure if this is a regression. http://bugs.gentoo.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#resolution

I'm pretty sure that email addresses were hidden if you weren't logged in before (although I could be wrong) they're now visible with easily parsable mailto: links when not logged in. Could we change this to prevent the spambots?
(In reply to comment #34) > I'm pretty sure that email addresses were hidden if you weren't logged in > before (although I could be wrong) they're now visible with easily parsable > mailto: links when not logged in. Could we change this to prevent the spambots? > Tom, that is a major hack and something I might work into the next release. But at this point, i've got too much other real life stuff that trumps it.
there's plenty of other simple regressions here that still need addressing
fwiw, the rss feeds on the test release (which is a feature i *love*) are generating broken links (works on the current bugs.g.o). 'course the html generated in the feed is also bogus, but that's nothing new :)
also, it looks like e-mail addresses are once again shown even when not logged in

I second the email obfuscation. Shortly after I posted some bugs, I started getting quite a lot of spam. Can we please either have an option to not show your email address (or put it into mailto) at all, or at least show it only to logged-in users?

I too am having spam problems. In fact, today, 7/8ths of my spam came via my gentoo bugzilla email alias. I've tried to be patient, but I've decided to set up a filter to silently delete anything that doesn't come from the Gentoo Bugzilla automail address.
Fixing this list for bugstest.g.o If I missed one, I'd appreciate folks checking it there, and filing a NEW bug for each issue. Remember to include bugstest in the summary line. Done checking/fixing comment #1 - bug aliases. comment #2 - wrangers. resolutions. Reassign. comment #3 - ppc-macos added. comment #4 - all done. comment #6 - no more commenting needed. comment #7 - CANTFIX exists. comment #9, comment #10, comment #11. comment #17, comment #18 - fixed. comment #27, comment #28 - fixed. TODO: comment #5 - text-mode test comment #8 - duplicate.cgi. comment #12 - bug threads. Not happening yet: Email obfusication - major hack to Bugzilla as jforman notes. If you want it, give as a patch against the Bugzilla BUGZILLA-2_22 tag from upstream.
I'll keep it in mind. Deleting any mail that's not from bugzilla works fine at the moment and the holidays are too hectic to do things properly.

Moving open bugzilla bugs to the new bugzilla group (because I'm about to stab lots of these bugs).
comment #5 - text-mode test: seems to work for me (tested with links). comment #8 - duplicate.cgi. fixed. runs 5 minutes past every hour. comment #12 - bug threads. we are using the new style marker, not going back to the old one.
as noted on the mailing list, not everything here has been fixed yet: - in search page, not all status fields are selected by default - text wrapping is still completely hosed - in search page, "A comment" should default to "contains all the words/strings"
You could at least patch the page https://bugs.gentoo.org/createaccount.cgi and announce that spambots are temporarily able to read e-mails. (my e-mail dREPLACEeLETTEReEjBYeLETTEReA@gmail.com is a REAL account setup specially for gentoo bugzilla).
Guys it's been over two years since comment #34 and no email obfuscation. Email obfuscation has been implemented virtually everywhere else. Why not on Gentoo sites? I would imagine that people don't report bugs and post on Gentoo sites because their email addresses aren't protected. I still get spam from Gentoo Bugzilla and it is annoying me to the point I'm thinking of deleting my Bugzilla account.
(In reply to comment #52) > I still get spam from Gentoo Bugzilla and it is annoying me to the point I'm > thinking of deleting my Bugzilla account. I just saw that everyone here can quickly mark this as more important by voting for it. So, before you delete your account you could vote and wait for some months to see what happens (you've been waiting for years now, so some months won't screw your statistics).
(In reply to comment #52) > Guys it's been over two years since comment #34 and no email obfuscation. This problem has been fixed in Bugzilla 3.4. You should upgrade this installation.
I'll close this bug as FIXED since we're now on bugzilla-4.x. If there is anything left file a new bug please.
