Created attachment 368540 [details] emerge --info =app-text/fbreader-0.99.4-r1 Fbreader has a black background of text, no matter whatever color I set in settings. Also, when I scroll text, text rendering works wrong (see screenshot attachment). I have an optimus notebook, so I tried to run fbreader on nvidia discrete video card (using bumblebee+primus), and backround was color noise instead of just black on intel video card. So, I think, the bug is in hardware acceleration of fbreader or Qt.
Created attachment 368542 [details] screenshot Screenshot is made after some scrolling.
Please post your `emerge -vpq x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers' output in a comment.
$ emerge -vpq x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers [ebuild R ] x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-331.38 USE="X acpi (multilib) tools -pax_kernel" Artifact appears not only with nvidia. With intel there is black background, with nvidia color noise. Sorry, if it was not clear with my first post. I can attach screenshot with nvidia, if you want. The already posted screenshot created with intel. And just in case: $ emerge -vpq x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel [ebuild R ] x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.99.907-r1 USE="dri sna udev -glamor -uxa -xvmc"
Do you have this problem with all documents? I tried both r1 and r2 on my optimus laptop (on intel [8086:0126] using i915 and on nvidia discrete GT 525M [10de:0df5]) without being able to reproduce the problem.
I cant currently try to reproduce this, because I've unmerged fbreader along with qt and it's taking a lot of time to reemerge it back. I'm just not bothering it.
I have this exact issue as well, and ```emerge --info =app-text/fbreader-0.99.4-r2``` simply returns ```zsh: app-text/fbreader-0.99.4-r2 not found```. From https://code.google.com/p/epub-samples/downloads/list, I tried "accessible_epub_3-20121024.epub" and "epub30-spec-20121128.epub", both had this issue. The background as well as previous pages aren't being redrawn so they are never removed, making the elements on new pages overlap the previous ones instead. On start, it also seems to take portions of the current desktop as the background.
I cannot reproduce this effect. I have >250 .epub books and >7500 .fb2.zip books in my personal library.
