I would like to initiate recruitment process for Andrey Kislyuk (registered nick: weaver). He is going to officially maintain the packages he was taking care of in the sci overlay for already over a year (and, likely, some other stuff :)). http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/science his nick there is weaver as well. I am going to mentor him (in fact, this has already been started). I am also approving this bug as a project lead :). Andrej: please email recruiters with your first quiz. Also, here is the list of bugs where you ever participated: https://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&long_desc_type=substring&long_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&status_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr&status_whiteboard=&keywords_type=allwords&keywords=&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=RESOLVED&bug_status=VERIFIED&bug_status=CLOSED&emailassigned_to1=1&emailreporter1=1&emailcc1=1&emaillongdesc1=1&emailtype1=substring&email1=gentoo%40horizon.ath.cx could you please organize this somewhat - that is post in a comment a shorter list of the "priority" bugs with which we should start? George
Thanks. Some "priority" bugs that I've worked on: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99446 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94027 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135103 Most of my work is on ebuilds which I put into the Sunrise overlay, though: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/search?q=azazello&changeset=on
I have gone through some of the more relevant bugs of his and just wanted to note that his latest stuff in sunrise is pretty good. As far as I am concerned we can proceed to the next stage. Can please somebody from the recruiters comment on where are we standing with the proceedings? Should Andrey send in his 2nd quiz? Andrey: As I just mentioned, we should probably start working on that second quiz. I am actually going on a vacation in half a week, but I will have an internet access and will monitor the situation (well, most of the time). Back on the 2nd week of January. Another thing. You probably have noticed that I was going through bugs with your submissions and was organizing dependencies, so that we can easily track the relevant packages. I realize that you may no longer be interested in some of them and may not want to maintain those (there are quite a few, you will have enough of maintenance even concentrating in one area :)). You may simply remove corresponding dependencies on the unwanted bugs. George
(In reply to comment #2) > Can please somebody from the recruiters > comment on where are we standing with the proceedings? Should Andrey send in > his 2nd quiz? Yes, please, have Andrey send the end quiz and I'll take care of him. And there's no hurry as I have enough recruitment work for the next two weeks. Denis.
Any progress here? Andrey has sent his 2nd quiz over two weeks ago and we went over his packages even before that.. George
(In reply to comment #4) > Andrey has sent his 2nd quiz over two weeks ago and we went over his packages > even before that.. Sorry George. I was traveling due to work for 3 weeks and then I broke my wrist when I came back which slows me down considerably. Plus I'm again traveling this week and the beginning of next week. So Andrey, please send me your availability for the review, i.e. for a couple of 2-3 hour sessions, starting on the 27th of this month. I'll see how I can have this fit my schedule. Denis.
(In reply to comment #5) > So Andrey, please send me your availability for the review By the way, private email is preferred. Denis.
(In reply to comment #4) > Any progress here? > Andrey has sent his 2nd quiz over two weeks ago and we went over his packages > even before that.. > > George > Calchan is going to be without an internet connection for an unknown amount of time so unless you want to wait for him, please contact me to schedule a review session with me instead.
Review done, setup is pending. Denis.
Announcement finally sent, sorry about the delay. Have fun and do not hesitate to contact me if needed. Denis.

He will be back in short as commented via mail
Handle in agreement with sci team
Looks to be still inactive: - Last (viewable) bugzilla activity: 2012-04-07 - Last CVS activity: 2013-02-03
- herds, metadatas and bugs cleaner (He replied explaining he would reassign the bugs/packages and set a devaway message, but nothing occurred. I guess we could give him one more month to see if he is still around :/)
Infra please proceed
