And they will fail if they are not run within X... you should probably use the virtualx eclass and Xmake check make[2]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/portage/libgnomecanvas-2.10.0/work/libgnomecanvas-2.10.0/tests' Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: aborting... /bin/sh: line 1: 12431 Aborted LIBGLADE_MODULE_PATH="../glade/.libs:IBGLADE_MODULE_PATH" ${dir}$tst FAIL: test-libglade-canvas =============================================================================== 1 of 1 tests failed Please report to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=libgnomecanvas =============================================================================== make[2]: *** [check-TESTS] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/libgnomecanvas-2.10.0/work/libgnomecanvas-2.10.0/tests'
This also applies to nautilus-2.10.0
and also applies to gnome-extra/libgail-gnome-1.1.0
same for app-accessibility/gok-1.0.3
but ok also tries to open files in /root Could not set mode 0700 on private per-user gnome configuration directory `/root/.gnome2_private/': Permission denied adding RESTRICT=test (at least on my local overlay... ..)
libgail-gnome and nautilus dont work with virtualX either (they want the gnome session manager) .. adding RESTRICT=test but libgnomecanvas works with virtualx..

same thing as #91571 don't make changes without consent.
please revert your 'fixes' asap
The test phase in libgnomecanvas, nautilus, libgail-gnome and gok has been fixed. For reference, please note that it would be easier for everyone if a separate bug is created per package :). Thanks.
