Description Guilherme Bember Duarte 2024-04-05 00:13:46 UTC
'eselect editor list' won't list neither neovim or vi (which is a symlink to nvim), it still can be added by the free form option, but it would be more convenient to be able to set the default editor the other way, like we can with vim or emacs. In the source code, adding nvim to EDITOR_LIST in the editor.eselect file inside the modules directory makes it work.

WONTFIX.

Thanks for the reply! Now I understand why it won't be added, but in my current install, and quite possibly in my previous one too, "eselect editor list" doesn't list vi (the symlink to nvim) as an available editor either, which should be the fix for this issue. Should I report this as another bug?
