Description Christian - Manny Calavera - Neumair 2002-10-03 08:58:02 UTC
gimp-print:
Available on the net: 4.2.2 / 4.2.3-pre1
Available in gentoo: 4.2.1

gimp-print-cups:
Available on the net: 4.3.5
Available in gentoo: 4.3.0

I suggest to rename gimp-print-cups to gimp-print-dev and changing the
description. Basically there's no difference between the function of the two
packages so it's more user friendly if you name it like gimp-print and add
(development version).
I noted that outdated packages are fixed faster when I don't assign the package
to the responsible maintainer - so I won't do it.

see you,
 Chris

it is called 'gimp-print-cups'

because some people want to install a print server, and not need to
install X11.

if you bothered at all to even read the gimp-print ebuild you would
have noticed that it unconditionally depends on gtk and gimp.

or perhaps you think having XFree86 and gimp is acceptable for a simple
print server box?
