On firefox-1.0-r3 and AMD64 Sometimes, when you insert data into an input field and if you have find as you type enabled, the find function will take precedence over an input field you currently have focus on. This occurs quite regularly. I do not know if this is a mozilla, gtk, wm (I use fvwm),or gentoo problem. Reproducible: Sometimes Thanks Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Portage 2.0.51-r15 (default-linux/amd64/2004.3, gcc-3.4.2, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.9-gentoo-r1 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.9-gentoo-r1 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.4-r1 [2.3.4 (#1, Feb 22 2005, 21:00:19)] dev-lang/python: 2.3.4-r1 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r6, 2.13 sys-devel/automake: 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.5, 1.4_p6, 1.6.3, 1.9.4 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.10-r4 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.6-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="amd64 X acpi alsa avi berkdb bitmap-fonts crypt curl dedicated directfb dvd exif f77 flac font-server fortran gif gphoto2 gpm gtk gtk2 icq imap ipv6 jabber java jp2 jpeg kde lzw lzw-tiff mime mozilla mpeg msn multilib ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl pam pda perl png python qt quicktime readline sdl speex spell ssl tcpd tetex theora tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts usb userlocales xine xml2 xpm xrandr xv xvid yahoo zlib" Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY
It happens to me sometimes as well. Most often, it happens when I type a '/' in certain input boxes. From what I can tell, it's repeatable on certain sites, but I can't recall any specific ones right now.
Well... semi-feature I'd say. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 84625 ***
