Description Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2005-02-21 02:24:51 UTC
After an 'emerge -a --newuse world' firefox was rebuild. Now I considered that the Gentoo-Bugs plugins were removed and had to be reinstalled by
wget http://mycroft.mozdev.org/plugins/Gentoo-Bugs.{src,png}

I think deleting plugins from the folder not installed by an ebuild should not be removed.

Comment 1 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2005-02-28 02:24:27 UTC
After upgrading firefox to 1.0.1 the Gentoo plugin was removed from /usr/lib/MozillaFirefox/searchplugins again.
Comment 2 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2005-03-25 02:24:53 UTC
Same with version 1.0.2, emerge firefox removes plugins from /usr/lib/MozillaFirefox/searchplugins
Comment 3 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-18 16:28:13 UTC
I also had that problem recently. Please have a look into bug #59671, where a patch is proposed.

It is really annoying b/c of the subsequently updates of firefox in the last
time. Any solutions in the near future ?
