When I put hte live cd in the compputer and reboot then computed jsut skipps the boot for cd and continues to boot into windows. If I put an older live cd in it boots fine but the old cd will not install on my new machine. The live cd has the file install-x86-minimal-2004.2 burnt on it with nero. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Place cd in cdrom 2. reboot 3. Actual Results: Does not load boot cd Expected Results: does load boot cd
Are you sure you didn't burn the file onto the CD, but rather burned it as an image of the CD, right?
Yes the cd is not the iso. I opened the cd in windows and there is files and folders on it, and it is not just the iso. I checked that first.
I've also had issues with this, I've burned this iso on cdrw and cdr, and on both my machine, and two others, the bios simply does not recognize the cd as bootable, 2004.1 had absoloutely no issues, but 2004.2 defeinitely does not work.
Doh... Grab the -r1 CD from /experimental or wait for 2004.3 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 58821 ***
