Hi,

sys-apps/dbus-1.12.12-r1 init script refers /var/run:

/etc/init.d/dbus:pidfile="/var/run/dbus.pid"
/etc/init.d/dbus:dbus_socket="/var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket"
/etc/init.d/dbus:       # We need to test if /var/run/dbus exists, since script will fail if it does not
/etc/init.d/dbus:       checkpath -q -d /var/run/dbus
