Description Rob van Riel 2017-02-10 10:22:23 UTC
Revdep-rebuild produced the output below. "Checking dynamic linking consistency" was over in a blink, while this normally takes quite a bit of time. Given the write error just before it, I suspect it scanned an empty list.

root@jarl:/portage/main/dev-util/boost-build#revdep-rebuild
 * This is the new python coded version
 * Please report any bugs found using it.
 * The original revdep-rebuild script is installed as revdep-rebuild.sh
 * Please file bugs at: https://bugs.gentoo.org/
 * Collecting system binaries and libraries
	Could not save cache: write() argument 1 must be unicode, not str
 * Checking dynamic linking consistency

Your system is consistent

Reproducible: Always

Have not yet tested accross multiple systems, but will in the coming days. Will update if this shows different behaviours.
