The build of (stable) dev-qt/qtquick1-5.4.2 fails on my system. On the other hand, the not yet stable version 5.5.1 builds properly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Build dev-qt/qtquick1-5.4.2 Actual Results: The build fails (build.log.gz attached). Expected Results: The build should work. Especially since the ebuild is marked stable. :) emerge --info: Portage 2.2.20.1 (python 3.4.3-final-0, default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop, gcc-4.9.3, glibc-2.21-r1, 4.0.5-gentoo x86_64) You have a mixed install of 5.4.2 and 5.5.1
Given that there were other random bugs caused by mixing versions of qt (e.g. bug 563898), I think at this point it would be safer to change all `>=` deps among qt modules to `~` deps.

Is it OK to move the overlay dep changes to the main tree? I don't know if it's really worth a revbump.
Yeah it should be ok. wrt revbumping, technically, you *should* do it. I'm sure the usual suspects will complain if you don't. That being said, personally I don't care.
Thanks, revbumped to avoid it happening again. https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=bab86516580f5e9d05445b94304903170f48b244
