If I start linphone and go on Options -> Preferences -> Codecs and select "Video codecs" from the dropdown, all codecs are displayed in red, probably meaning that they didn't load. The log also shows error messages of video plugins not working. I have installed linphone with the video use flag. Reproducible: Always

...just a guess (but this bug is already one), but the chances are you ned a few useflags on media-libs/mediastreamer or ffmpeg.

linphone-3.7 is not in the tree => not supported. You are using it from the prism-overlay => I'm reassigning bug to its maintainer.
My bad. I've reinstalled 3.6 from the tree (and deactivated said overlay for the merge), issue persists.
OK, I'll later look into an issue. Patches are welcome.
