Current stable requires an old mediastreamer version that doesn't build on stable. Hence, we need a newer linphone to allow people to use a newer and fixed mediastreamer version Thanks
Should we just drop stable?
(to drop old libXosip)
Also for libosip and for bug 616490 as old versions required by current stable are security vulnerable
We will probably need to wait for the bump of bug 504114 as current testing is also problematic, and either fast stabilize that one or drop to testing and remove old versions of linphone and related libs
(In reply to Andreas Sturmlechner from comment #1) > Should we just drop stable? I will do in a week probably
[master eb078999a513] net-voip/linphone: Drop old/broken version 4 files changed, 144 deletions(-) delete mode 100644 net-voip/linphone/files/linphone-3.5.2-automake-1.13.patch delete mode 100644 net-voip/linphone/files/linphone-3.5.2-nls.patch delete mode 100644 net-voip/linphone/linphone-3.5.2.ebuild And closing this as WONTFIX until this is bumped and a future newer version is ready to stable
too bad, that was my voip desktop client. I might look into writing ebuilds for more recent versions, but the whole git submodule mess does not look too good. Any suggestions for a replacement that is maintaned in portage (sip client with gui)
