Having this stabilized would also be a solution for bug #537850, unless there are dependencies that would break with this new version.
is bug 531462 really a regression over current stable? If not, it shouldn't block this one
Yes please do. This is on my machine the ONLY package that still needs perl-cleaner on perl update (missing := in Perl dependency, EAPI<5)
Sorry if I am being too forward with blocking, just thought it could be done before stabling? Take it off if not.
amd64 stable
Stable for HPPA PPC64.
Version 2.38.0-r1 fails to build: > moc_csettings.cpp:15:2: error: #error "This file was generated using the moc from 5.4.2. It" > moc_csettings.cpp:16:2: error: #error "cannot be used with the include files from this version of Qt." > moc_csettings.cpp:17:2: error: #error "(The moc has changed too much.)" In the meantime the ebuild add flag qt4 and uses the 4-th version of QT: > x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../.. -I../../lib/common -I../../lib/common -I../../lib/gvc -I../../lib/pathplan -I../../lib/cgraph -I../../lib/cdt -DQT_SHARED -I/usr/include/qt4 -I/usr/include/qt4/QtGui -I/usr/include/qt4 -I/usr/include/qt4/QtCore -DQT_SHARED -I/usr/include/qt4 -I/usr/include/qt4/QtCore -DDEMAND_LOADING=1 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DGVEDIT_DATADIR=\""/usr/share/graphviz/gvedit"\" -O2 -pipe -march=native -c -o gvedit-moc_csettings.o ... I have both versions of QT installed (5-th is the default one): > # qtchooser -l > 4 > 5 > default > qt4-i686-pc-linux-gnu > qt4-x86_64-pc-linux-gnu > qt4 > qt5-x86_64-pc-linux-gnu > qt5 > # readlink /etc/xdg/qtchooser/default.conf > qt5.conf

x86 stable
In addition to comment #8: version 2.38.0-r1 compiles if Qt-4 is selected as the default one. Otherwise it fails.
