Having this stabilized would also be a solution for bug #537850, unless there are dependencies that would break with this new version.

This is on my machine the ONLY package that still needs perl-cleaner on perl update (missing := in Perl dependency, EAPI<5)

Version 2.38.0-r1 fails to build:

> moc_csettings.cpp:15:2: error: #error "This file was generated using the moc from 5.4.2. It"
> moc_csettings.cpp:16:2: error: #error "cannot be used with the include files from this version of Qt."
> moc_csettings.cpp:17:2: error: #error "(The moc has changed too much.)"

In the meantime the ebuild add flag qt4 and uses the 4-th version of QT:

I have both versions of QT installed (5-th is the default one):

In addition to comment #8: version 2.38.0-r1 compiles if Qt-4 is selected as the default one. Otherwise it fails.
