Simply renaming the ebuild and changing  MY_PKG_SUFFIX="" works fine. 
It fixes #50854 and #49364 for me.

I didn't rename the file, only changed MY_PKG_SUFFIX from "" to "a". So the ebuild is still named xine-lib-1_rc4.ebuild

"ebuild xine-lib-1_rc4.ebuild fetch" gets the correct tarball (xine-lib-1_rc4a.tar.gz), so no problem there. Compile and install are no problem. It just works fine here (on x86)
