Description Jimmy C. Chau 2014-03-29 05:02:23 UTC
After upgrading from x11-base/xorg-server-1.14.3-r2 to xorg-server-1.15.0, I was prompted to "emerge @x11-module-rebuild" for an ABI change. Emerging x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.20.13 fails with an error in sna_display.c:723:2:

error: too many arguments to function 'DamageUnregister'

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to xorg-server-1.15.0
2. emerge -av1 x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel
Actual Results:
Build fails with the "too many arguments to function 'DamageUnregister'" error.

Expected Results:
Re-emerging xf86-video-intel succeeds.

For now, X will not start because an ABI mismatch.

This bug appears similar to bug #496682.

Bug still present.
Patch is only applied to 2.21.15, which is unusable for me (and probably other people) as of #486952.
Attached backported patch.
