Get the following error regardless of CFLAGS

...
gcc -pipe -I. -c -fPIC -DPIC ./jdapistd.c
./jdapimin.c: In function `mmxsupport':
./jdapimin.c:467: error: PIC register `ebx' clobbered in `asm'

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =sys-devel/gcc-3.4.0
2. emerge jpeg-mmx

ive added a patch that cleans up the previous 3.3 patch greatly and fixes these 3.4 bugs
Comment 2 Martin Diers 2005-02-04 10:05:16 UTC
This bug is back. I am getting the same error as above, regardless of CFLAGS, using gcc-3.4.3.

Above a patch is mentioned - but there is no patch - and there is no version beyond r1.

maybe you should look again, there is a patch '1.1.2-gcc34.patch'
