Can media-gfx/asymptote-2.24 be stabilized? Current stable version does not depend on virtual/python-imaging which is inconvenient.
Ping? Are there any problems with this version?
(In reply to Andrius Štikonas from comment #1) > Ping? Are there any problems with this version? Yes :-( To produce pdf output, any sufficiently new version of asymptote needs >=dev-texlive/texlive-latexextra-2013. Until it's stabilized, it's impossible to stabilize asymptote. The current stable asymptote is broken for the same reason. The only way to get a working asymptote is to install ~arch asymptote and texlive-2013.
I can produce pdf output with texlive-2012 just fine. Do you have an example of a file that doesn't work?

No, (In reply to Andrius Štikonas from comment #4) > (In reply to Lukas Polacek from comment #3) > > I can produce pdf output with texlive-2012 just fine. No, pdf output worked for all the files I have written myself and there have been quite a few. An example can be found in bug #481076 (this bug depends on it).
Closing this. No longer in the tree. There is a newer stabilization request.
