There are problems with compiling maxima that would be alleviated by a modern version of asdf. (It may also solve the problem of compiling sbcl-1.0.55.) The current stable version is 1.89: two generations behind the current release versions! Reproducible: Always

Especially due to the gentoo-init package, which clisp depends on. Or, ought I solve this myself?
Thanks for reporting. I've revoked the stablization until we fix the dependencies on gentoo-init and asdf-binary-locations + 12 Dec 2013; Chema Alonso <nimiux@gentoo.org> uiop-3.0.2.4.ebuild: + Revoke stable for amd64 wrt bug #485632 + + 12 Dec 2013; Chema Alonso <nimiux@gentoo.org> asdf-3.0.2.4.ebuild: + Revoke stable for amd64 wrt bug #485632 +
They are probably only blockers, I mean, people is expected to install gentoo-init.
(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #4) > They are probably only blockers, I mean, people is expected to install > gentoo-init. No. All recent versions of common lisps depend on recent asdf; it requires to uninstall gentoo-init (now this file is installed by asdf). I suppose we have to stabilize a recent clisp at the same moment, to get rid of gentoo-init finally.
Yeah, looks like we would need newer ecls and clisp, the problem of the later is that looks like its latest version lost alpha and ia64 keywords :/
Could a full list be provided? Looks like some packages are waiting for this to be "cleaned" a bit Thanks
