Description Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2013-04-11 22:25:11 UTC
The copyright and license status of this package isn't clear to me.

ProMOL_302.py includes two HPND type license notices, but they seem to cover only parts of the code (the first one is for the "PyMOL Plugin source code" and the second one for the "PDB Entry Search source code").

Help/colortables.html carries the following notice, which is certainly non-free:

   --- UCSF Chimera Copyright ---
Copyright (c) 2001-2005 Regents of the University of California.
All rights reserved. This software provided pursuant to a
license agreement containing restrictions on its disclosure,
duplication and use. This notice must be embedded in or
attached to all copies, including partial copies, of the
software or any revisions or derivations thereof.
   --- UCSF Chimera Copyright ---

Other files come without any license notice at all.

Please clarify under what terms this package can be distributed.

No response.
Should we move it to all-rights-reserved and set RESTRICT=mirror?

If we don't have any other information about the package's license, this looks like the best option.
