Technically speaking this is not a gcc 4.8 error but a -Werror "problem" in the makefile

backport patch from version 1.10, fix the compile error

there is already a patch for version mozc-1.10.1390.102 which remove the "-Werror" compile flag, backport to 1.6 fix this problem.

attached file is the ebuild patch
Comment 3 Julian Ospald 2013-07-25 10:11:04 UTC
Specific -Werror=* flags are NOT disregarded by QA, unless we know that the warning is stupid in this case.
Comment 4 Naohiro Aota gentoo-dev 2013-07-28 10:33:33 UTC
Really need this for 1.6? Both 1.6 and 1.10 is testing. I'm considering to drop older versions. They also have problem with python eclass.

No, any use of -Werror is not allowed. Drop it please.
