Almost certainly caused by gcc-4.8.x as this package tends to break with each version due to the odd .pl script it ships with. Perhaps you can verify by trying with gcc-4.7.x or older?
Created attachment 346022 [details, diff] Patch for gcc-4.8 The first part of the patch contains two fixes that upstream did for gcc-4.8. The second part removes a stray comma that gcc-4.8 also complains about.
Had the same problem with gcc 4.8.1 on my x64 system. I can confirm that Philipps patch fixes the problem. Thanks Philipp!

I was able to build the patched sam2p with gcc-4.7.3. No particular warning/error, at the moment at least.
