The ebuild claims LICENSE="as-is" which doesn't seem to be right. I cannot find any copyright notice or terms for distribution, neither in the tarball nor on the package's homepage.

Can you please sort out (possibly with upstream) under what terms this package can be distributed?

I can neither find the license... not sure how to proceed since desklets are mostly deprecated and dead :|

This doesn't look like an important package to me.
Last rites, so that we can find out if there is users' demand for it?

Probably, I doubt many people are still using gdesklets

Ping, any progress here? The package has no Gentoo maintainer and upstream is dead. Also I see little chance that the license issue could be fixed.
