Livecd amd64 20121013 on HP dc7800
Errors during boot:
mkdir cannot create directory /var/run: File exist
ERROR: acpid failed to start (no matter if acpi=off or acpi=on is set during boot)
ERROR: rpcbind failed to start (and related errors rpc.statd, nfsmount)

Other errors:
Interface eth0 remains down though driver is loaded and DHCP server is running. net-setup eth0 with "Use DHCP .." option doesn't set up interface too.

using ssh or sshd gives following error:
symbol lookup error: undefined symbol: EC_KEY_new_by_curve_name

The issues reported here are duplicates of at least 2 bugs:

 * missing /run dir - bug 421839
 * sshd fails to start if openssl built without ECDSA support  - bug 437480

I'm dup'ing to the first as most issues reported are related to the first bug.
