This service fails to start on a my machine with a nfs network root mounted filesystem:

Service `netmount' needs non existent service `net'

Reproducible: Always

This is fixed in commit 5148047.

Thanks, but that's horribly wrong - now netmount starts *before* net.

Please revert that to a sane state.

Shouldn't it then be after net instead of reverting it back to need net?

Please see this post [1]  and /etc/conf.d/netmount. It is possible to adjust the dependencies in there.
