I have tried using `genlop -c` on Linux, Mac OS X and Solaris. It will always report "no working merge found", regardless of what emerge says.
It's been like this for ages. :)
Can I see the FEATURES line from emerge --info from affected hosts?
Here is FEATURES from ~sparc64-solaris: FEATURES="assume-digests binpkg-logs collision-protect config-protect-if-modified distlocks ebuild-locks fixlafiles force-prefix merge-sync news nodoc noinfo parallel-fetch parallel-install preserve-libs protect-owned sfperms strict test test-fail-continue unknown-features-warn unmerge-logs unmerge-orphans userfetch"
Most of the time, I do not see this problem, but on occasion, it starts doing this part way through an emerge, and in that case, it always gives that response until I start a new emerge, when it reverts to the normal output. This is with genlop 0.30.10-r2. from "emerge --info" on an amd64 box (mostly stable, a few ~) FEATURES="assume-digests binpkg-docompress binpkg-dostrip binpkg-logs binpkg-multi-instance ccache config-protect-if-modified distlocks ebuild-locks fixlafiles ipc-sandbox merge-sync multilib-strict network-sandbox news parallel-fetch pid-sandbox preserve-libs protect-owned qa-unresolved-soname-deps sandbox sfperms strict unknown-features-warn unmerge-logs unmerge-orphans userfetch userpriv usersandbox usersync xattr"
I don't use genlop myself. Tools-portage team is mostly myself and Zac, but is open to fixes from any Gentoo developer. We would appreciate any fixes you can provide and will gladly apply them if they check out.
