Needed for =media-libs/mesa-8.0[wayland]. Please keyword.
I've use.mask'd wayland in the mean time. Remember to remove this mask.
Why not x11-libs/wayland?
It's not related to X11. We had it in x11-base when it was first added to the X11 overlay, but a Wayland developer requested that we move it to dev-libs or media-libs. See bug 365419. As Wayland/Weston grows, I think may of the packages in the x11-libs category (eg gtk+, qt) might be better suited in a more general gui-libs category.

Compile tests on mips(with most of combinations of USE-flags) goes well, but i am stuck with getting any picture from it using weston. RDP backend just stucks with weird errors; x11 backend seems too; null backend, well, null :-). Device, where i am testing wayland, does not have video adapter, so drm-backend is not suit too. @mips team, your opinion?

Same result here.

The tests pass for 1.6.1, so I added ~mips. No other testing done.
