Description i.Dark_Templar 2011-10-20 16:13:29 UTC
vnstat uses keepdir for /var/run/vnstatd, that can produce some problems if /var/run is on tmpfs. BLocks bug #332633.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge vnstat
Actual Results:
vnstat keepdirs /var/run/vnstatd

Expected Results:
should'nt keep dir /var/run/vnstatd

I thought that was fixed wrt bug #332429. It's fixed /now/ in 1.11-r1.

If this directory is created at init script, why ebuild still keeps this line "keepdir /var/run/vnstatd" ? Is it necessary or just a garbage? That's what was this bug about.

It doesn't. I removed that line right before I closed this bug report.

Yes, quite clearly.
