A simple rename to firefox-bin-5.0.ebuild (mind you, I'm talking about the binary version) works here.
Comment 3 Alexandre Rostovtsev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-22 17:47:43 UTC
Note that firefox-5.0 is, in effect, upstream's security update for firefox-4.0.1. It needs to get into the tree ASAP.

See http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.planning/msg/fa721272ebaf7756 : "The planned security update for Firefox 4 is Firefox 5."

Firefox 5 has entered the tree with PGO support. Note that xulrunner was merged into Firefox, so there's no corresponding xulrunner release.
Comment 9 Sergey Ilinykh 2011-06-24 11:59:18 UTC
heh it failed to emerge because my 8888 tcp port was busy when pgo tests started.
Comment 10 Sergey Ilinykh 2011-06-24 12:07:45 UTC
anyway fails..
