A simple rename to firefox-bin-5.0.ebuild (mind you, I'm talking about the binary version) works here.
Note that firefox-5.0 is, in effect, upstream's security update for firefox-4.0.1. It needs to get into the tree ASAP. See http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.planning/msg/fa721272ebaf7756 : "The planned security update for Firefox 4 is Firefox 5."

Firefox 5 has entered the tree with PGO support. Note that xulrunner was merged into Firefox, so there's no corresponding xulrunner release.
heh it failed to emerge because my 8888 tcp port was busy when pgo tests started.
