Description ta2002 2011-06-15 08:00:46 UTC
Certainly one of the strangest thinks I have seen in a while. Running:

emerge -f kdelibs (or even something the requires kdelibs, such as kdebase-meta)

creates a zero byte file in /var/log/portage (/var/log/portage/kde-base:kdelibs-4.6.3-r2:yyyymmdd-hhmmss.log). I know of no other package that exhibits this behavior (and this did not happen with older versions of kdelibs).

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
emerge -f should not create log files for any package

This is fixed in 2.1.10.3 and 2.2.0_alpha41:
