I've just installed net-fs/fusesmb-0.8.7 and noticed it didn't work. I've also noticed it has 3 open bugs (and one closed with NEEDINFO).

The latest activity is from 3 years ago:

I suggest to remove fusesmb from the tree, and stabilize net-fs/smbnetfs-0.5.3 instead. This one worked out-of-the-box and their latest commit is from 5 months ago.
