fusesmb fails to compile because of missing nmblookup (samba meta package doesn't provide it anymore, so it should depend on something else (samba-client or samba[client] I think). net-fs/samba-client provides that program. after installing net-fs/samba-client with nmblookup, fusesmb fails to find smbclient.h so it also needs net-fs/samba-libs[smbclient]. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
+ 07 Jan 2010; Patrick Lauer <patrick@gentoo.org> fusesmb-0.8.7.ebuild: + Fixing 0.8.7 for new samba #297223. EAPI2. I hope that fixes it, if there are any problems please report them :)
net-fs/samba-client still is not pulled to my expiriences, so nmblookup problem still persists.
nmblookup is in net-fs/samba-client package, "net-fs/samba-libs[smbclient]" doesn't pull it.
this is still unresolved, fusesmb fails to compile/configure because of nmblookup nonexistence. it must depend on net-fs/samba[client] when using samba-3.5.*
