This is blocking the old bug #108479 as we are trying to get other packages
depend on splitted python ebuilds.

Looks like your package requires the following instead:

$ scripts/convert-split-python.sh ifp-gnome/
gnome gtk ifp os popen2 pygtk random sys time urllib
 * Mapping gnome: dev-python/libgnome-python
 * Mapping gtk: dev-python/pygtk
