Description Israel G. Lugo 2010-11-13 01:12:47 UTC
I have sys-process/acct installed. However, I've never enabled process accounting on this machine. I'm getting emails from cron with the following:

> error: stat of /var/account/pacct failed: No such file or directory

The problem seems to be in the /etc/logrotate.d/acct file, which defines the logrotate settings for /var/account/pacct. In particular, it does not allow the file to be missing.

I was going to post a patch to add "missingok" to the logrotate file, but I just noticed this was addressed in bug 344963, with the exact same fix. There was no revision bump, which is why the package didn't get updated, so I didn't get the fix.

Sorry for the duplicate.
