Newer acct ebuilds install a logrotate script that assumes that a log file is always available. However, this is not true when acct is installed as a dependency (of sys-process/atop in my case), and the init script is never used/started. This results in messages like: error: stat of /var/account/pacct failed: No such file or directory run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate.cron exited with return code 1 Please add the "missingok" directive to the logrotate config file to solve this.
Fixed without a revision bump. Will go "stable" with 6.5.5.
