Description Dirkjan Ochtman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-27 13:11:23 UTC
Should pass all the tests. Stabilization is a little sooner than 30 days, because it was requested in bug 329499 (and it helps bug 330667). No regressions were reported that I know of.
Comment 1 Ben Kohler gentoo-dev 2010-10-27 14:22:06 UTC
Current stable portage blocks this newer python, doesn't it?
Comment 2 Dirkjan Ochtman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-27 14:31:51 UTC
You're right, this has to wait for stable portage-2.1.9.
Comment 3 Dirkjan Ochtman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-11-28 12:40:16 UTC
Now that portage-2.1.9 is actually going stable, we should be able to do this. Would be nice to know what's going on with bug 343853, though.
Comment 4 Dirkjan Ochtman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-12-06 09:29:24 UTC
Okay, let's go.
Comment 5 Alex Buell 2010-12-06 19:55:19 UTC
Tested on SPARC, got test failures, and tested with stable, test failures identical. Can be stabilised as the test failures are the same as the stable version (2.6.5-r3). Filed test failures as a separate bug report (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347935)

As I see (http://packages.gentoo.org/package/dev-lang/python), amd64 still isn't stable.
