sci-visualization/gnuplot-4.5.6 will not build with USE=doc

I am missing esptopdf,  it is not a gnuplot dependency and I can not figure out which package I need to install it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE=doc emerge -1 gnuplot
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
[...]
make pdf 
epstopdf eg7.eps
make: epstopdf: Command not found
make: *** [eg7.pdf] Error 127


Expected Results:  
Successful emerge.

Well, that'd be dev-texlive/texlive-fontutils but I'd rather disable USE=doc than to install such moster.
