open a konsole app and start more than one tab, then move the last one to the leftmost position, this recently moved tab is all back and there is no way to make it show the actual console screen. Adding new konsole's tab and switching through them may help in getting abck the leftmost tab text appear again. Which kde and qt versions do you have? What happens with 4.4.2?

Bug exists at least since kde-4.1, so this is not a regression in kde-4.4.x
Fixed upstream in 4.4 branch (for 4.4.5), patch added in overlay.
Revbumped konsole to 4.4.3-r2 and added the patch, thanks!

I am not sure if 4.4.5 will even come out considering that if it debuts, it will be extremely close to the release of 4.5.0 and usually maintenance releases cease to be made for old major versions of KDE when a new major version of KDE is released.

The bug is fixed in the gentoo version of 4.4.3. Just re-emerge konsole. (Most likely 4.4.4 will enter the tree only after 4.4.3 is marked stable.)
