Description Mark Douglas 2003-09-26 07:52:44 UTC
I have a problem with several different packages failing to emerge due to a
symlink error. Below is an output of what I see:

>>> emerge (4 of 59) gnome-base/nautilus-2.4.0 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) nautilus-2.4.0.tar.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking nautilus-2.4.0.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/nautilus-2.4.0/work
 * Applying nautilus-2-x-printers.patch...
                                                              [ ok ]
ACCESS DENIED  symlink:   /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/base.pm
>>> Source unpacked.
--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/tmp/sandbox-nautilus-2.4.0-26670.log"

symlink:   /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/base.pm
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge nautilus

Actual Results:
Instead of the package being emerged, I end up with the error message listed above.

Expected Results:
The package should have been emerged.

While it's not the same software package, this problem is the same as bug
#28211, so marking as a duplicate.
