Trying to emerge =dev-libs/glib-2.20.5-r1 with FEATURES=test and dev-util/desktop-file-utils not installed and I got a failure (log will be attached).
Trying to emerge =dev-libs/glib-2.20.5-r1 without FEATURES=test and without dev-util/desktop-file-utils and it's working.
Trying to emerge =dev-libs/glib-2.20.5-r1 with FEATURES=test and with dev-util/desktop-file-utils installed and it's working.

It looks like dev-util/desktop-file-utils is needed if tests are enabled ;)
