It needs -DH5_USE_16_API if USEing hdf5, see bug #289025.

Hi Kacper,

Thanks much for your patch. I've decided to enable
the 1.6 legacy API instead of fixing the source 
itself. Could you please send your patch upstream
so they can integrate things properly into HEAD.
