For a long time mips has been running ~mips, but even with that, there is no python-2.6, only 2.5 and 3.1 are available. However, today's update to portage 2.1.7 bombs on: "This version of portage requires at least python-2.6 to be selected as the default python interpreter" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. daily emerge -vauDN world on ~mips 2. portage does not build because of missing python-2.6 3. Outside of mips, I don't run ~arch anywhere, so perhaps I misunderstand how it is supposed to work.
