Description Mark Chappell 2003-09-08 08:39:40 UTC
Sorry for the strange summary I'm not entirely sure how to describe what's going
on in a short manner.

I do an "emerge --update --deep world", avifile-0.7.38.20030710 gets installed,
I need to manaually download a file for a different prog, so I then do emerge
--update --deep world, again. This time avifile-0.7.37.20030522-r2 gets
installed, which seems a little wierd since I hadn't done a sync. So just for
kicks I try emerging again, and it installs the first one again.

It's basically looping between the two avifile versions.

I think this is down to the following entry in mjpegtools' ebuild files.
media-video/mjpegtools/mjpegtools-1.6.0-r7.ebuild: avi? (
<media-video/avifile-0.7.38 )
media-video/mjpegtools/mjpegtools-1.6.1.ebuild: avi? ( <media-video/avifile-0.7.38 )

surely it shouldn't be looping like this....
