post the output of /proc/mounts and /proc/filesystems and `df` and `df -P --local`

i think the cp/cp-mv-enotsup-xattr failure is due to util-linux #279054

the dd/skip-seek-past-dev failure is due to your usage of lvm as root ... it confuses the test. when it tries to dd to it, you get:
./dd/skip-seek-past-dev: line 56: /dev/mapper/vg-var--tmp: Permission denied
Comment 3 Alexey Vladykin 2009-08-20 21:04:01 UTC
I observe similar failure of dd/skip-seek-past-dev test on my machine.

Same here with coreutils-7.5-r1: The test did not have permission to access /dev/sda3.

After I found bug #259876 which made me modify FEATURES in make.conf (added userpriv and usersandbox) the package passes this test. Guess that might help someone searching bugzilla who needs a quick workaround.

Just my 2 cents, HTH,

original "emerge --info"

Added output of "emerge --info" for environment which did not pass the test, just in case anyone is curious.

dd/skip-seek-past-dev fails in version 8.16 too
